My most famous role was as Messala in "Ben Hur" in 1959 opposite Charleton Heston. I was supposed to play Marc Antony in "Cleopatra" in 1963 but Elizabeth Taylor contracted pnuemonia so production was halted. By the time production started again I was committed to another movie so the part went to Richard Burton.

The correct answer is Freddie Mercury, who was born Farouk Bulsara (spelling may vary) on the African island of Zanzibar in 1946. He was the flamboyant frontman of rock group Queen and also had a few solo hits. Freddie died of an AIDS related illness in 1991.



Austrian musician Falco (biggest hit "Rock Me Amadeus") was born Johan Holzel. He died in a car crash in the Dominican Republic in 1998. Drummer Cozy Powell (birth name Colin Flooks) also died in a car crash in 1998. Salvatore Phillip Bono, known as Sonny, died in a skiing accident, also in 1998.

Her father, Peter Kreuk, is Dutch, and her mother, Deanna Che, is Chinese. Both of her parents are landscapers.

Against her parent's wishes she went to National Theatre School in Montreal. They were upset and told her she had to pay her own way. She agreed and told them if the acting thing did not work out within a few years, she would return to college.

Mark was born June 17, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri. In "Perfect Strangers," Larry left Wisconsin and moved to Chicago. His cousin Balki, from Mypos arrived a short time later. Chantal Kreviazuk was born in Winnipeg in 1973, and is a classical pianist by training. Her first album, 'Under these Rocks and Stones' was released in Canada in 1996 and in the U.S. in 1997 and catapulted her to fame, which prompted her nomination for a Juno award as Best New Artist. (The album features the song 'God Made Me' which is not to be confused with 'When God Made me' by that other famous Winnipeg singer Neil Young.)



Kreviazuk's music can be heard on the soundtracks of several television shows and films, among them 'Dawson's Creek', 'Providence', 'Men in Trees', 'Joan of Acadia' and 'Laguna Beach' (TV) and 'Saved!', 'Uptown Girls’,’ The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' and 'Just My Luck' (movies).



Kreviazuk is married to Raine Maida, lead singer of the Canadian band Our Lady Peace and the couple has collaborated on writing songs for April Lavigne, Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, Kelly Clarkson, the Veronicas, Marion Raven and Cheyenne Kimball.



My favourite Kreviazuk moment was when she bowed out of singing the Canadian national anthem at the opening of the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg in 1999 "because the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra couldn't play it in her key"!



By the way, April and Shania are both from Ontario and Diana Krall is from B.C.

This song was recorded for the "Freaky Friday" soundtrack. In the movie Anna (Lindsay)and her band "Pink Slip" perform this at Tess' (Jamie Lee Curtis) wedding. This was also Linday's first experience playing guitar.
