Providing one of the most recognizable voices in rock music, bassist/guitarist C.F. Turner is BTO's original lead vocalist, although he has shared some of the lead vocal workload with guitarist Randy Murray since Murray joined the band in 1993. Original member and drummer Robin Bachman is the younger brother of BTO founder guitarist/songwriter Randy Bachman. Randy Bachman also founded the 1960's Canadian hit machine The Guess Who along with singer/pianist Burton Cummings.

1971- The Year Of Classic Rock! - John Lennon, after breaking up with the famous Beatles, pursued a solo career. In 1971, he hit it big when he wrote the political-strong song "Imagine". When released, it hit number 3 on the U.S. Charts. It was released as a single in the U.K. in 1975, then re-released shortly after Lennon's death in the U.K. raising it to number one on the charts. What number was "Imagine" on the U.K. charts when it was first released in 1975?

In 1980, when it was re-released, it hit number one on the U.K. charts easily. It was replaced by Lennon's song "Woman", marking only the second time an artist replaced himself/herself on top of the U.K. charts.
