Movie Question 1
From 'SNL' to the Movies - Longtime 'SNL' regulars Mike Myers and Dana Carvey brought their 'Wayne's World' skit to the big screen in 1992. Was this Dana Carvey's only 'SNL' skit to make it to the big screen?
 Yes
 No
The correct answer is 'Yes'
Sadly, Dana Carvey never did a Church Lady film, nor did he and Kevin Nealon translate their Hans and Franz to the big screen. Carvey did do his George Bush impression in the movie 'Opportunity Knocks', but that certainly doesn't constitute a skit to screen by any stretch of the imagination.

Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay
 Best Director and Best Actor
Best Original Screenplay and Best Director
 Best Actor and Best Picture
The correct answer is 'Best Original Screenplay and Best Director'
Both director Sam Mendes and writer Alan Ball made their debuts on "American Beauty", and were awarded Oscars for their efforts. Alan Ball went on to create the critically acclaimed series "Six Feet Under" (2002), and Sam Mendes went on to produce and direct a number of projects, including "Road To Perdition" (2002), and "Jarhead" (2005).

Kevin Spacey won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Lester Burnham in "Ameican Beauty", but he had previously won the same category for his role in "The Usual Suspects" (1996). The award for Best Picture was shared by Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks, both of whom had produced films in the past. The film also won the Oscar for Best Cinematography, which went to veteran film maker Conrad L Hall.

Movie Question 6
Cool Runnings - What does the term "Cool Runnings" actually mean?
May you stay nice and cool as you run.
Nothing! It's just a term they used to name the sled.
 Peace be the journey.
Running is cool---after all, three of the men were sprinters.
The correct answer is 'Peace be the journey.'
After getting a qualifying time under 1 minute flat, the team celebrates by drinking Cokes, painting the bobsled, and then naming it. They decide to name it "Cool Runnings," meaning "peace be the journey."

Movie Question 7
"Saving Private Ryan" - The pilot of the crashed glider said it was like trying to fly a freight train because of what?
Their tail had been blown off after someone hadn’t screwed it on properly.
The frame was bent by turbulence after the supports had been removed to fortify the general’s personal vehicle.
They were over packed with armored vehicles and artillery pieces.
There were steel plates welded onto the bottom to protect the passengers from the anti-air guns.
The correct answer is 'There were steel plates welded onto the bottom to protect the passengers from the anti-air guns.'
The pilot of the crashed glider explained that they had steel plates wielded onto the bottom to protect the on-board general, but neglected to tell the pilot until takeoff. The glider was too heavy and plummeted right after being released. Everyone died in the crash with the exception of the pilot. There was a comment about how much people would do for one man, and the squad sympathized with him, given that their own mission was to find and retrieve Private Ryan.

Movie Question 8
"Patton": A Salute to a Rebel - Part Two - According to General Smith (Ed Binns), is Ike the only person willing to give Patton one more chance following the "slapping incident?"
 Yes
 No
The correct answer is 'Yes'
When Patton finally reaches London, General Smith arrives to discuss a plan "in connection with the Normandy invasion." When Patton reaches for his briefcase to go over what he felt were "flaws" in the plan, Smith stops him cold:

"Please, will you just listen, for a change? Remember, Ike stood by you when everyone, and I mean everyone, wanted Patton with a rope around his neck!"

Movie Question 9
1940s Movie Quotes - "It's Mrs. Danvers. She's gone mad! She said she'd rather destroy Manderley than see us happy here."
 Notorious
 Suspicion
 Rebecca
 Spellbound
The correct answer is 'Rebecca'
"Rebecca" (1940) was Alfred Hitchcock's first American film. Starring Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier, the film tells the story of a meek young woman who meets and marries a rich Englishman...but he is disturbed by the memory of his deceased wife. Manderley is the name of his estate in the English countryside. Mrs. Danvers is his demented housekeeper who is obsessed with the memory of his dead wife.

Joan Fontaine's character delivers the quote above to Laurence Olivier near the end of the film when she realizes how deranged and obsessed Mrs. Danvers really is.

All other choices are also Hitchcock films from the '40s.

Movie Question 10
"Saving Private Ryan" - In Vierville, the squad decided to stay for a while to rest up. In what building did they stay?
 A Hotel
 A Restaurant
 A Church
 A Tent
The correct answer is 'A Church'
After the small skirmish in Vierville, the squad decided to catch up on a little sleep and dry off their cloths after being soaked in the rain. This was one of the quieter moments in the movie in which the characters are further developed, with stories about the lives of the individual squad members.
