Mirasta Yale ended up leaving her homeworld to live among the aliens. She was played by Carolyn Symour who has had numerous guest spots in television. Besides playing Mirasta Yale, she also player two Romulans ("Contagion" and "Face of the Enemy") and a senator (this time human!) on "Babylon 5." She also was in an episode of "Matlock."

When the Bynars hijack the ENTERPRISE with only Picard and Riker on board, they opt to destroy the ship rather than let it fall into alien hands. Fortunately, a peaceful solution is eventually reached, and the countdown is aborted.



A much more dramatic employment -- and last-second deactivation -- of the self-destruct system occurred in season two's 'Where Silence Has Lease.'

The best episode - in my opinion

"Stargate's" "Beneath the Surface" originally aired in the US on September 1, 2000. "Star Trek's" "Workforce, Part 1 and 2" aired on February 8, 2001, five months later. So, was it coincidence, or did "Star Trek" rip off "Stargate"?

Professor Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, (born January 8, 1942) is one of the world's leading theoretical physicists. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (a post once held by Sir Isaac Newton), and a fellow of Gonville and Caius College. That he holds this post while almost completely incapacitated by severe motor neurone disease has made him a worldwide celebrity.



As well as intelligence, the man is known for his wit. Hawking is famous for his oft-made statement, "When I hear of Schrödinger's cat, I reach for my gun." This was a deliberately ironic paraphrase of the sentence "When I hear the word 'culture', I release the catch on my Browning" in a play by the official Nazi playwright and poet, Hanns Johst. (The quote is often mis-attributed in a slightly shorter form to Goering).

In one of the first episodes, Voyager's doctor is killed, and the Doctor makes short work of all the medical emergencies on hand.

Patrick Stewart's son, Daniel, appeared in the "TNG" episode "The Inner Light", as Kamen's (Captain Picard's) son, Batai. William Shatner's daughter, Melanie, was the yeoman holding the malfunctioning Captain's Log in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier", as Kirk tried to make an entry; she also appeared in the "TOS" episode "Miri", as one of the children on Miri's Planet. And John deLancie's son, Keeran, played Q's son in the "Voyager" episode "Q2".



But Leonard Nimoy's son, Adam, decided to remain behind the scenes by following his father's lead to the Director's Chair. He directed the "TNG" episode "Rascals", and his other directorial credits include episodes of "NYPD Blue", "Babylon 5", "The Practice", and "Gilmore Girls" (information from IMDb.com).
