McCoy saved Edith from being run over by a car, Kirk has to stop her life from being saved. The other three answers are plots from later series of "Star Trek."

Interestingly enough, we go through the whole series without finding out what Chakotay's specific tribe is called. We do know that they are a Native American people, and Chakotay is a descendent of the Ancient Rubber Tree people, but that is all. Chamozi is "a blessing to the land in the form of an ancient healing symbol." Most of this information is found in the "Star Trek: Voyager Companion" and in various episodes.
