Rescuing the man, he gave Tor a magical club and whenever he raised the club above his head and shouted, "Mightor!", the teenager was changed into the superhero possessing super-strength, the ability to fly, and to emit energy beams from the club; also, whenever he would throw the club, it would return to him, a la the Asgardian god, Thor and his hammer, Mjolnir. Tor's pet dinosaur would also be transformed from a friendly and docile creature into a fire breathing dragon.



"Mightor" was on from September 9, 1967-September 6, 1969 and was paied with the cartoon, "Moby Dick". Like the format of "Space Ghost and Dino Boy", two episodes of "Mightor" were sandwiched around one episode of "Moby Dick".

Born in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1934, Barbara McNair was one of the most versatile African-American entertainers of the 20th century. A star of Broadway, television, music, as well as movies (she appeared with Sidney Poitier in "They Call Me Mr. Tibbs" and with Elvis Presley in his last movie, "Change of Habit", in 1969), Ms. McNair began her career as a nightclub singer and got her big break on Arthur Godfrey's "Talent Scouts" TV series in the 1950's. She also attended UCLA to study music where one of her classmates was Carol Burnett.



And, like Carol Burnett, she also hosted her own variety program called "The Barbara McNair Show", from 1969-1971. The show featured some of the biggest stars of the day like Sonny and Cher, Tony Bennett, and Bob Hope. After the show ended, Barbara went on to make guest appearances in some of the '70's most popular tv shows such as "McMillian and Wife" and "The $10,000 Pyramid". She died of throat cancer in February 2007.

There were lights under the contestant's podium that told how many words they had correct. There were only 1, 2, and 3 lights there, so a contestant had to get three words right in order to win.

"Shields and Yarnell" were a husband and wife mime team (yes, mimes) who had their own variety show from June 13, 1977-March 28, 1978. Lorene Yarnell met Robert Shields in California after he had finished a brief apprenticeship with the famous French mime, Marcel Marceau. She was a tap dancer and an actress of off-Broadway musicals and together they perfected their mime act. They married in 1972.



Although mimes usually get a bad rap, Shields and Yarnell broke that mold and were very well respected for their work. In fact, their 1978 show featuring John Aylesworth was nominated for an Emmy award and their television special "Toys on the Town" actually won one. They divorced in 1986, but will reunite from time to time to revive their act.

Mo Rocca was on "The Daily Show". He is another regular on "I Love The 80s". Mo's mother is Colombian.

This episode was about the class ski trip that the sophomore had on their minds all week. Ben and Sue plan to go on the trip without Mr. Miller finding out but things don't go as planned when Mr. Miller becomes a supervisor on the trip. Dino tries to get Jackie's attention while other girls try to hit on him. Jonathan and Deb break up and Jonathan has trouble moving on.
