Mrs. Trumbull, an elderly woman, lived downstairs from the Ricardos and appeared often on the show.

It is day 40, and a long-awaited expedition is about to begin as Michael, Sawyer, Jin and Walt depart on Michael's handmade raft. In hopes of finding rescue, the four begin a voyage into the unknown-- and ends in disaster.

This was a first launch attempt, but a second raft. Michael had built a raft prior to the one on which they sailed, and it was burnt to the ground by Walt (who became anxious and didn't want to leave the island). Walt had mentioned his fear of drowning and, ironically, getting attacked by sharks. Walt has a change of heart the night before the second raft is to depart, however-- suddenly he has become insistent that they must leave.

While the launch attempts to find help, another journey brings Jack, Kate, Locke and Hurley to the hatch. Whether it is a site of salvation or Pandora's Box, determination for answers propels investigation.

An explosion leaves the forbidden entrance-- stamped with a large "Quarantine" warning-- open and accessible.

As the survivors communicate among themselves, Jack and Locke face one another in their ongoing clash of beliefs-- man of science versus a man of faith. Such a contrast is consistently enforced by the difference between black and white: did the plane crash on the island with the 48 survivors because of coincidence, or because of fate?

Locke insists that "each one of us was brought here for a purpose". Given the depth of each survivor's interrelation (before crashing, and after) this is probably true.

But is the purpose really by cause of fate, or something far more calamitous? The more the island reveals itself, the more there is to learn. If "the island" had brought Flight 815 and all of its passengers-- main group and tail-- as well as those who came before, perhaps far more than destiny awaits the survivors.

Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl gather around and join hands. Batman remains across the room, but does state that he'll help the League when he can. It is then that they realize that Martian Manhunter is standing alone in another area of the satellite -- he wasn't even present when the other heroes made their little gesture, and they don't repeat it once J'onn joins them.

Aiden and Mac work on the alleyway case and they try to determine where the missing bullet went. Using the knowledge that rats rarely go more than sixty-five yards away from their nests at any time, they find a trail that the rats took that hugged the wall of the nearby building. The trail leads into a pipe and into the building, and Mac finds them in the roof. Luckily, using a scanner, they manage to find that the bullet rat is amongst them.

Sakai and Ishinabe battled on the All French Team, Chen was with the All Chinese Team.

When finally confronted with Locke, Jack approached and demanded to know where he was. He tackled Locke to the ground, and was pulled back by Charlie, Sawyer and Kate. Jack continued to shout angrily, until he began breathing hard and fell down.

Surprisingly, it was Sawyer who yelled out for water.

It seemed there was quite a bit of Sawyer's unknown character which was revealed in this episode.

All that Locke could reply was, "It was an accident!"

In "Get Carter," Weaver offers Susan the position of ER chief but she says she doesn’t want it. When Weaver asks why, Susan tells Weaver and Abby that she is pregnant. She then turns around and throws up on the floor.

The opening scene was from “Suspect” when Andy was abducted by his school master.

Leonard Blush was heard, but never seen. He was voiced by Howard Morris, who played our beloved Ernest T. Bass in five memorable episodes!
